*I have recently managed to design a weekly schedule that hopefully meets most peoples needs;
~ We have the stronger approaches, the more yang energy type classes, such as Hotyoga and Hatha/Vinyasa which are the more dynamic sessions where you can expect to work up a little heat either from the inside – out in (Hatha/Vinyasa), or the outside – in (Hotyoga). Both these sessions focus on movement and breath awareness, however, my general Hatha/Vinyasa sessions focus more on the holistic magic that yoga offers and each session is slightly different. The Hotyoga is the same sequence each time, which does also have its benefits, in that its a complete balanced body workout, once learnt the mind is then able to switch off for 75 minutes.
~ We also offers a weekly Gentle Hatha session and a very gentle Restorative Yoga class.
The Gentle Hatha is a slowed down, more gentle version of my Hatha/Vinyasa. So again you can expect a mixture of all yoga’s delights; pranayama (breathing exercises) Meditation, Mindfulness, Gentle Asana (postures). This is the perfect start if you’re new to the practice.
Restorative Yoga is the perfect opportunity for you to open up your body whilst resting down the mind. You’ll enjoy the total support of me as your teacher, but also lots of props to assist you in the held postures where comfort is key.
When we feel supported in a held safe space the body and mind are able to embark on a profound healing journey together. The biggest challenge in this session is learning how to simply ‘be’ instead of constantly ‘doing’. Think stillness, relaxation and inner peace whilst gently easing your body toward flexibility. The perfect time to reset old patterns. Yum!
